Allegany County Sheriff’s Office Announces Arrests on Warrants

Cumberland, MD– The Allegany County Sheriff’s Office, in collaboration with Maryland State Police – Barrack C, has made significant progress in executing open and active warrants. Their efforts led to the apprehension of several individuals.

On Wednesday, Brandon Zane Jones, 30, of Westernport, was arrested. He faces two Circuit Court Warrants concerning a probation violation related to an Assault-Second Degree conviction and a Grand Jury Criminal Indictment on various controlled dangerous substances charges. Jones awaits a bail review in Circuit Court and is held without bond.

James Emerson Hanlin III, 38, from Keyser, WV, was detained on a District Court Bench Warrant for failure to appear. Although placed on the STET Docket, Hanlin faces CDS possession and multiple traffic offenses. He has since been released on his own recognizance.

Gregory Allen Boggs Jr, 25, from Piedmont, WV, was arrested on a District Court Bench Warrant for probation violation. This stems from a CDS possession conviction where Boggs received a suspended sentence. He remains in custody without bond, pending a District Court bail review.
