Allegany County Warrant Sweep Leads to Multiple Arrests

ALLEGANY COUNTY, MD – The Allegany County Sheriff’s Office, in collaboration with Maryland State Police – Barrack C, reported successful apprehensions on Thursday.

The joint operation targeted individuals with open and active warrants in the community.

Among those apprehended were Malachi David Thornton, 26, arrested on a bench warrant for failing to appear on a Driving Without License charge, and released on his own recognizance.

Dalton John Colmer, 23, was detained without bond for failing to appear for a Violation of Probation hearing, related to a previous second-degree assault conviction.

Similarly, Alexander Thomas Carl Lyddane, 22, was arrested on a bench warrant for a probation violation linked to a second-degree assault conviction and is being held without bond pending bail review.
