Alleged Drug Dealer Arrested in Odenton After Foot Chase, Assault on Cop

ODENTON, MD – Officers from the Western District responded to a tip about alleged drug distribution around 4:30 p.m. on Monday, in the 900 block of Waugh Chapel Way.

Witnesses reported two armed men selling drugs from a 2023 Hyundai Sonata.

During the operation, one suspect attacked an officer and attempted escape on foot but was soon detained.

Items recovered included a loaded 9mm handgun, cash, and suspected Cannabis.

Further investigation led to the discovery of an additional loaded handgun from a nearby 2010 Mazda 6. Jaden Camryn Nowell, 19, and Lavaughn Demetrius Coleman, 21, both from Crofton, Maryland, were arrested in connection with the case.
