Allentown Vice Unit Announces Multiple Arrests

ALLENTOWN, PA – On Monday, the Allentown Police Vice Unit, in conjunction with members of the 3rd and 4th Platoon, made several arrests while conducting street-level surveillance operations. Weapons, drugs, and other illegal paraphernalia were recovered in the process.

At 5:12 PM near North Jefferson Street and West Tilghman Street, officers stopped a vehicle resulting in the arrest of its driver and passenger. A subsequent search of the vehicle yielded two handguns, a digital scale, and a bag of suspected marijuana. The individuals arrested are Raymond Jackson, 19, of Whitehall and Justin Williams, 20, of Allentown. Jackson faces charges including PWI Marijuana, Carrying a Firearm without a License, and Possession of Paraphernalia. Williams has been charged with Possession of a Small Amount and Possession of Paraphernalia.

At 8:26 PM in the 300 block of Ridge Ave, officers observed a man acquiring suspected drugs. Upon approach, officers found a loaded handgun, bags of suspected crack/cocaine and marijuana, two cell phones, and $90 in US currency. Pascual Rentas, 29, of Allentown was subsequently charged with offenses including Persons not to Possess and Carrying a Firearm without a License.

At 10:43 PM, again in the 300 block of Ridge Ave, police noticed a man concealing a firearm. Officers approached and found a loaded handgun on him. Jose Rivera, 39, of Allentown was charged with Carrying a Firearm without a License.

The Allentown Police Department acknowledged the efforts of the Vice Unit and officers of the 3rd and 4th Platoon for their role in these arrests.
