Dan Bongino destroys AOC as face mask fraudster as new video evidence emerges

by Conservative Times August 4, 2021
By Conservative Times

Conservative talk show host Dan Bongino has exposed New York City Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez as a complete fraud when it comes to wearing face masks to stop the spread of the COVID-19 virus.

In a video making its viral rounds this week, Cortez is seen with a group of people unmasked, including herself. When it comes time for a photograph, AOC is seen putting her mask on. After the picture was taken, the video claims to once again show an unmasked Sandy.

“Let’s take a quick photo,” one person says. Then Sandy can be seen reaching for her mask and putting it on for the photo.

“In the latest political theater performance, a mask-less Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez put on a face mask right before taking a group photo on the steps of the Capitol during a sit-in where she and other activists called for an extension of the eviction moratorium, which was later granted,” Bongino reported.

Three Adorable dumped puppies that have no food miraculously rescued

by Kristen Harrison-Oneal August 4, 2021
By Kristen Harrison-Oneal

A rescue received a call about three puppies dumped on the side of the road. Children spotted them and created a shelter for them. They also brought food to them. Eventually, they called for help. The puppies were tiny, maybe four or five weeks old. They were scared and hungry. The food bowls they were left with were completely empty.

The rescuers were able to secure the puppies and bring them to safety. They were without food and water for maybe 1-2 days so they were starving.

How these puppies survived on their own is incredible. If it wasn’t for the children and the brave rescuers they would not have survived much longer.

Watch this heartwarming video and these adorable puppies below.

Florida governor DeSantis trails Democrat opponent in latest poll

Florida Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis is running just behind Democratic Rep. Charlie Crist, a new poll shows.

The survey, from Florida-based St. Pete Polls, found that 45% of voters would back Crist, who served as governor from 2007 to 2011, while nearly 44% would back DeSantis and 11% remained undecided. Crist’s lead, however, was within the 3,900-person poll’s 1.6-point margin of error.

The poll is slightly surprising given DeSantis’ high profile — forecasters widely see him as a favorite in 2022 and a presidential contender in 2024 — and given the Democratic field seeking to oust him next November. A St. Pete poll from May found that 38% of voters thought Crist had a 50-50 chance of beating DeSantis, while 26% and 29% gave DeSantis and Crist the edge, respectively.

The survey also comes amid a massive spike in coronavirus cases statewide, fueled by the more contagious delta variant. Florida is averaging close to 20,000 new cases each day, according to data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, a number up nearly 1000% from a month ago and by far the highest of any state.

Deaths have also increased in the state, but by a far smaller margin since more vulnerable populations have gotten vaccinated at higher rates.

DeSantis has doubled down on his hands-off approach to fighting the virus, going so far as to ban mask mandates in schools and businesses from requiring vaccines for their employees and customers even as hospitalizations reached a pandemic-high on Tuesday.

“In Florida, there will be no lockdowns, there will be no school closures, there will be no restrictions and no mandates in the state of Florida,” DeSantis said at a press conference Friday.

Crist on Tuesday called for requiring state employees to be vaccinated, saying that “The way to stamp out the virus, and protect our public health, economy and our jobs, is to get everyone vaccinated.”

In a statement to the Daily Caller News Foundation, DeSantis spokeswoman Christina Pushaw acknowledged the shift in hospitalizations to younger patients, and said that the governor continued to encourage Floridians to get vaccinated.

“We recognize that cases and hospitalizations have shifted to a younger demographic because we have been so successful with vaccinating seniors,” Pushaw said. “Again, we must continue this stride to expand vaccination rates across eligible age groups. As stated by Governor DeSantis, ‘These vaccines are saving lives, and reducing the mortality of COVID-19.’”

Private companies added 330,000 jobs in July, far fewer than expected and the lowest amount since February, according to a major payroll report.

The 330,000 jobs added to private payroll last month represented a significant decline from the 680,000 jobs added in June, the ADP National Employment Report showed. Economists predicted that private companies would add 653,000 jobs in July, nearly double the number reported Wednesday, according to CNBC.

“The labor market recovery continues to exhibit uneven progress, but progress nonetheless,” ADP Chief Economist Nela Richardson said in a statement. “July payroll data reports a marked slowdown from the second quarter pace in jobs growth.”

“The slowdown in the recovery has also impacted companies of all sizes,” she continued. “Bottlenecks in hiring continue to hold back stronger gains, particularly in light of new COVID-19 concerns tied to viral variants.”

Overall, small businesses added 91,000 jobs, medium-sized businesses added 132,000 jobs and large businesses added 106,000 jobs, the ADP report showed. Businesses with less than 20 employees added just 37,000 jobs nationwide.

The leisure and hospitality sector grew the most with 139,000 jobs added in July. Franchise stores added 105,400 with the bulk of those coming in the restaurant industry.

The major stock market indices dropped sharply Wednesday morning after ADP released the report. The Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped 0.56% while the S&P 500 remained 0.35% down one hour after the market opened.

Meanwhile, the number of job openings has surged to all-time highs in recent months, according to Department of Labor data. There are currently an estimated 9.2 million job openings nationwide while the national unemployment rate hovers near 6%.

The unemployment rate had dropped to 3.5% in February 2020 before the pandemic triggered a recession.

But Richardson predicted that barriers to job growth, such as new coronavirus variants, will subside making way for large future private payroll gains.

Obama “significantly scales back” massive mansion birthday party after COVID criticism

by Conservative Times August 4, 2021
By Conservative Times

MARTHA’S VINEYARD, MA – Former President Barack Obama has announced he is significantly scaling back his 60th birthday party at his massive Martha’s Vineyard estate. Originally Obama was going to have over 500 guests in what opponents called a “superspreader” event with the rise of the COVID-19 delta variant.

A spokesperson for the former President said those plans are now being changed.

“This outdoor event was planned months ago in accordance with all public health guidelines and with COVID safeguards in place. Due to the new spread of the delta variant over the past week, the President and Mrs. Obama have decided to significantly scale back the event to include only family and close friends,” Hannah Hankins said in a statement. “President Obama is appreciative of others sending their birthday wishes from afar and looks forward to seeing people soon.”

Hawkins did not say how many people were cut from the guest list. Previously the event included 500 people, plus staff, security and a performance by Pearl Jam.

Trump lawyers seek to block IRS release of tax returns to Congress

by Shore News Network August 4, 2021
By Shore News Network

Former U.S. President Donald Trump is trying hard to block the release of his tax returns by the IRS and Treasury Department to the House Ways and Means Committee.

The House Democrats’ only basis for requesting Trump’s returns was based on the pretext that they want to examine how the IRS audits Presidents.

Trump’s lawyers say that’s just a smokescreen for Democrats to use his returns for political payback.

“While House Democrats had offered countless justifications for obtaining the president’s tax returns, no one at the time had ever mentioned a desire to find out how the IRS audits presidents,” his lawyers stated. “The chairman’s request for Trump’s tax returns bore little resemblance to an effort to investigate how the IRS audits presidents. It asked for the information of only one president, asked for open files for which audits have not been completed, and never asked the IRS for the most relevant information — namely, how it audits presidents.”

Trump’s lawyers are not only seeking to block Congress from getting his tax returns, but is also asking that the court orders the committee to end all ongoing examinations of Trump’s business dealings.
