CRANFORD, NJ – The New Jersey Department of the Treasury is deploying the ANCHOR Property Tax Relief Outreach Team to assist residents with property tax applications through door-to-door visits. Starting September 26, team members will canvass neighborhoods from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. daily, offering informational resources and application aid.
Members of the outreach team will carry identification badges and don blue safety vests while working within communities. Residents will be questioned on their eligibility for the property tax relief program, with the collected data used to assist in the application process.
The Cranford Police Department has advised residents of the township’s solicitation ordinance. It requires for-profit organizations to register before door-to-door solicitation. Violations can be reported to the Cranford Police non-emergency line at 908-272-2222.
