Anne Arundel officers and Good Samaritan rescue dogs on Route 10

ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, MD — Two runaway dogs, Cookie and Rocky, were safely rescued along Route 10 on Tuesday thanks to quick action by Corporal Selander, PFC Klebaner, and a Good Samaritan, according to the Anne Arundel County Police Department.

The incident caused a brief traffic slowdown as the group worked together to secure the dogs and prevent them from being harmed on the busy roadway.

Police confirmed that the dogs were unharmed and have since been reunited with their owner.

“Not all heroes wear capes!” the department wrote in a social media post, praising the efforts of the officers and the helpful citizen who stepped in.

The swift rescue highlights the teamwork of police and the community in ensuring the safety of even the smallest residents.
