Anne Arundel Police Investigating Armed Robbery in Gambrills

The Anne Arundel County Police Department is investigating an armed robbery that took place in the parking lot of Capital One Bank in Gambrills. The incident occurred at approximately 11:00 a.m. on October 17, 2023.

According to the police department’s Facebook post, “The 71-year-old male victim said he had withdrawn money from inside the bank. As he was putting it in his vehicle, he was approached by an unknown male wearing all-black clothing who pointed a gun at him and demanded the victim’s money and personal property.”

After the victim complied, the suspect then entered the passenger side of a maroon Dodge Charger or Challenger with tinted windows and a temporary tag.

Western District Detectives are spearheading the investigation. Authorities are urging anyone with any information concerning the robbery to call 410-222-6155. “Individuals wishing to remain anonymous are encouraged to call the Anne Arundel County Police tip line at 410-222-4700,” the department added.
