Anonymous Tip Leads to Arrest in Rockville Armed Robbery

ROCKVILLE, MD – Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – Major Crimes Division have arrested 43-year-old Devin Byron Dorsey in connection with an armed robbery that occurred on October 2. The arrest followed an anonymous tip that identified Dorsey from a photograph posted in a MCPD news release. The tipster is now eligible for a reward of up to $10,000.

On October 5, detectives secured an arrest warrant against Dorsey, charging him with armed robbery, robbery, second-degree assault, and theft less than $100. Dorsey was arrested in Germantown on October 14 and transported to the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit, where he is being held without bond. The investigation is ongoing.
