Juvenile suspect charged in earlier case

The victim from the earlier shooting was transported to Monmouth Medical Center Southern Campus in Lakewood, where he later died from his injuries.

Authorities arrested a juvenile suspect in connection with the killing. Because of the suspect’s age, police have not publicly released the identity. Officials said the suspect is currently being held at the Ocean County Juvenile Detention Center and faces charges including murder, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, and unlawful possession of a weapon.
