COLUMBUS, OH – Today, April 20, 2021, at 3:38 am, officers were dispatched to the rear of 293 E. 15th Ave. on a shooting. Upon arrival, officers located the victim, 33-year-old Dell Fields Jr., suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Fields was transported to a local hospital where he was treated for his injuries.
Despite receiving life-saving medical treatment, Fields succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at 5:36 am. At this time, the motive for this incident is still unclear.
