Another murder in Jacksonville, suspect in custody

JACKSONVILLE, FL – The city of Jacksonville Florida has reported another shooting murder, adding to the body count that is quickly climbing throughout the city.  This weekend, sherrif’s deputies arrested Malik Simmons for shooting and killing his victim on Norfolk Boulevard.
According to police, on Sunday, November 29, 2020, patrol officers were dispatched to the area of 9600 Norfolk Boulevard in reference to an individual who had been shot. Upon arrival, officers located the victim, who was pronounced deceased at the scene. A subject was detained at the scene and transported to the Police Memorial Building to be interviewed.
The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office Homicide Unit and Crime Scene Unit responded to conduct an investigation.
