Anti-Asian Hate Crime Suspect Sought by NYPD

NEW YORK – Police are seeking assistance to identify a suspect in a hate crime assault that occurred on September 2 in Prospect Park. A 46-year-old man was verbally attacked with anti-Asian remarks and physically assaulted with a stick by an unidentified male, who then fled the area. The victim received on-site medical treatment, and the NYPD’s Hate Crimes Task Force is actively investigating the incident.

The individual connected to the assault was captured on media, which has been released to the public.
