Armed 14-year-old busted in stolen SUV at Maryland gas station

HANOVER, MD — A 14-year-old boy was arrested early Monday morning after police discovered a stolen vehicle and a loaded handgun at a gas station in Anne Arundel County, according to the Anne Arundel County Police Department.

At approximately 12:35 a.m. on May 12, an officer spotted a stolen gray 2018 Kia Sorento parked at the Exxon station located at 7043 Arundel Mills Circle. As the officer approached, a teen began walking away from the vehicle but was quickly detained.

Police say the juvenile suspect was found to be carrying a loaded .32 caliber Taurus handgun and burglary tools. He was taken into custody and charged with multiple offenses, including weapons violations and possession of a stolen vehicle.

The investigation is ongoing.
