Armed Carjacker Caught On Camera In D.C.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Washington, D.C. Metro Police Department is investigating an attempted armed carjacking in Northeast D.C. Friday night.

The victim’s rideshare car was approached by the suspect around 11:00 pm on the 200 block of Varnum Street. The suspect exhibited a firearm and ordered the victim to relinquish the vehicle. The victim obeyed, and the suspect made an attempt to flee in the car. However, the suspect was unable to do so and fled on foot.
