Armed Carjacking Reported at Capital One Bank in Hanover

Hanover, MD – Local authorities are investigating an armed carjacking that took place in the parking lot of Capital One Bank, located at 7566 Ridge Road, on October 13, 2023. The incident occurred at approximately 4:50 p.m., just as the victim was entering his black Lexus 350.

According to the police report, “The victim reported he was entering his vehicle when a suspect approached him, displayed a handgun, and demanded his keys.”

Complying with the armed assailant’s demands, the victim handed over the keys, and the suspect fled the scene heading south on Ridge Road in the victim’s car.

Officers were immediately dispatched to the location, but their canvassing of the area did not yield any success in locating the suspect involved in the carjacking.

Western District Detectives are taking charge of the investigation. They have released a description of the suspect as a Black male in his 20s, standing between 5’6″ and 5’8″, with short hair and light facial hair. He was last seen wearing all-black clothing.
