Masked gunman robs woman of purse in Glen Burnie before fleeing in getaway car

Glen Burnie, MD – A woman was robbed at gunpoint while walking to her car Tuesday evening in Glen Burnie, prompting an active investigation by Northern District detectives.

Police said the incident happened around 6:15 p.m. on August 13 in the 7100 block of Ritchie Highway. The 48-year-old victim told officers she was approached by a man who grabbed her purse. When she resisted, the suspect pulled out a handgun, forcing her to stop struggling.

The suspect fled with the purse in a gray Toyota sedan driven by a second individual. Officers canvassed the area but were unable to locate the suspects or the vehicle.

The armed suspect was described as a white male wearing a gray shirt, blue jeans, and a black ski mask. A second male suspect, also masked, was behind the wheel of the getaway car.
