Armed Robbery at Family Dollar Store in Carlisle Borough

CARLISLE BOROUGH, PA – Police are investigating an armed robbery that took place Friday night in Carlisle Borough when an unidentified black male walked into the Family Dollar Store on East High Street and carried out an armed robbery.

The suspect, estimated to be between 5’10” and 6’00” tall and weighing approximately 160-170 lbs., was dressed in black clothing. He threatened the store clerk with a pistol, demanding cash.

Fearing for his life, the clerk complied, handing over the store’s money to the assailant.

The suspect fled the store after the robbery, running northbound into the Weis Markets’ parking lot. As of yet, no injuries have been reported in relation to the incident.
