Armed Robbery at Pittsburgh Dollar General Ends in Arrest

PITTSBURGH, PA – Pittsburgh Police responded to an armed robbery at the Dollar General on Buttermilk Hollow Road at 9 p.m. on Sunday.

According to employees, a male threatened them with a gun, demanding cash from the registers. He fled with approximately $450.

Detectives tracked down and apprehended the suspect, identified as 55-year-old William Posey.

confessed to the robbery and faces charges including robbery, terroristic threats, and theft.

He also had outstanding arrest warrants from Tennessee and Virginia. Posey is currently held at the Allegheny County Jail.
