Armed Robbery on Bronx River Parkway: Suspect Flees with Cash and Valuables

BRONX, NY—A 43-year-old man was robbed at gunpoint while driving a for-hire vehicle on the Bronx River Parkway on Wednesday afternoon. The incident occurred around 3:20 PM as the vehicle was heading southbound near East Gun Hill Road. The assailant, who was picked up earlier from Webster Avenue and East 168 Street, revealed a firearm and demanded the driver’s possessions.

The driver complied, surrendering his cellphone, watch, and over $1,300 in cash. Following the robbery, the suspect exited the vehicle and fled. He is described as a young man in his early 20s, last seen wearing a red jacket with white sleeves, blue jeans, and black sneakers.
