WASHINGTON, D.C. — A suspect fled an armed robbery on a lime green bicycle yesterday afternoon in the 1300 block of Alabama Avenue SE, sparking an active investigation.
The incident took place shortly after 4 p.m. The suspect is described as an 18-year-old Black male wearing a black coat and black pants. Witnesses reported he brandished a handgun during the robbery and was last seen heading toward the nearby Giant Food store.
