Armed robbery suspect sought after Jamaica Avenue incident

QUEENS, N.Y. — Police are searching for an unidentified male suspect involved in an armed robbery at a commercial establishment on Jamaica Avenue in Queens on the evening of Monday, September 23. The incident occurred at approximately 8 p.m., according to authorities.

The suspect entered the business located at 95-20 Jamaica Avenue, displayed a rifle, and demanded money from an employee. The employee quickly fled through the rear door of the establishment on foot, and the suspect left the scene shortly after.

The suspect was last seen traveling southbound on 97th Street in a dark-colored SUV. No injuries were reported during the incident.

Police describe the suspect as a male with a light complexion and a heavy-set build. He was last seen carrying a rifle, wearing two pairs of dark-colored sunglasses on his head, a blue bandana as a face covering, a grey t-shirt, dark shorts, and dark shoes.

Authorities are asking anyone with information about the incident to contact police.
