Armed Shoplifting Incident in Columbus; Police Seek Information

COLUMBUS, OHIO – The Columbus Division of Police is seeking information regarding a shoplifting incident that escalated to an armed confrontation on January 8th.

At around 7:30 pm, two suspects entered a business located in the 2100 Block of E. 5th Avenue. They shoplifted multiple items and, upon being confronted by employees, one suspect revealed a handgun. The suspects then fled the scene on foot through the rear door.
