Armed suspects on the run after attempted robbery of Brinks armored truck in Hyattsville

HYATTSVILLE, Md. — Two armed suspects are at large after an attempted armed robbery targeting a Brinks armored truck Tuesday morning in Hyattsville, Maryland, according to police.

The incident occurred in the 5500 block of Baltimore Avenue when the suspects approached the armored vehicle with weapons drawn. During the confrontation, the driver of the armored truck fired his weapon at the suspects, who then fled the scene in a minivan-style vehicle.

Hyattsville Police are actively investigating and urge anyone with information about the suspects to contact them at 301-985-5060.
