Arrest Made After Assault on Woman in Wilkes-Barre

Wilkes-Barre, PA – Authorities responded to an assault incident involving a 29-year-old female victim who had been physically assaulted on West River Street by a 40-year-old man.

The victim sustained a facial injury before escaping the residence, leading to the arrest of the suspect, Darryl Burnett, who was taken into custody without issue. Emergency medical services attended to the victim, while Burnett was transported to City Headquarters for further processing.
