On Tuesday evening, authorities responded to reports of a male shot in a. residence. Responders found 56-year-old Derek Polite deceased inside. Detectives learned that the victim’s cousin, Bernard Junior Polite, was arrested.
The suspect is facing criminal homicide charges and is in custody pending court proceedings.
