Arrest Made in Deadly Bronx Stabbing

BRONX, NY – Following an ongoing investigation, police arrested 36-year-old Bryant Gonzalez in connection with the murder of 44-year-old Juan Martinez.

The initial incident took place on Tuesday, September 12, when officers responded to a 911 call at approximately 6:29 p.m. for an assault in front of 130 West 228 Street. Upon arrival, officers found Martinez with multiple stab wounds. He was taken to NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital by EMS, where he was pronounced dead.

Gonzalez was arrested on Tuesday, September 26, at approximately 3:35 p.m., within the boundaries of the 50th Precinct. He resides at 1770 Andrews Avenue in the Bronx. Charges against him include murder, manslaughter, and criminal possession of a weapon.

The investigation is ongoing, and police have not released further details at this time.
