Arrest Made in Hate Crime Case

BROOKLYN, NY – On Tuesday, 43-year-old Brooklyn resident Angel Mario was arrested in the 101 Precinct on charges relating to a hate crime committed on Wednesday, April 19, 2023.

The charges include Hate Crime/Criminal Mischief, Making Graffiti, Aggravated Harassment, and Criminal Mischief.

The case involved an anti-Asian statement spray-painted on the front gate of a liquor and wine store located at 21-35 Mott Avenue.
