Arrest Made in July Shooting in Brooklyn

NEW YORK, NY – A Brooklyn man has been arrested and charged with attempted murder after an investigation into a shooting Friday night in Brooklyn.

Emanuel Spencer, a 42-year-old resident of Brooklyn, was arrested on Friday, at approximately 6:15 a.m. He has been charged with attempted murder and is currently in custody.

The incident occurred on Wednesday, July 12, around 12:08 a.m., near the intersection of Maple Street and Flatbush Avenue. Two groups of unidentified individuals were involved in a physical altercation when one individual fired a gun, striking a 30-year-old male in the left leg.

The victim was taken to Kings County Hospital and is in stable condition.

The individuals fled the scene in unknown directions.
