Arrest Made in White Oak Metro Bus Murder Case

WHITE OAK, MD—Montgomery County Police have arrested 22-year-old Trevon Hatcherson-Ross for the fatal shooting of 19-year-old Justice T’Ziyan Elliott. The incident occurred on a Metro Bus on Lockwood Drive in White Oak on February 17.

Patrol officers from the Third District observed a WMATA Metro Bus stopped on Lockwood Drive and intervened to discover a shooting had taken place inside the bus. Despite immediate life-saving efforts, Elliott was pronounced dead at the scene.

Following an investigation, Hatcherson-Ross was identified as the suspect. He has been charged with first-degree murder, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, and reckless endangerment.

On June 14, Hatcherson-Ross was extradited from Washington, D.C., to Montgomery County, where he is now being held without bond at the Central Processing Unit.
