Arrests Made in D.C. Armed Kidnapping Case

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Two individuals have been arrested in connection with an armed kidnapping incident in Northwest, D.C., as announced by the D.C. Metro Police Department’s Carjacking Task Force and the Federal Bureau of Investigation Washington Field Office.

The crime took place early in the morning on February 25, when the victim, attempting to sell items via social media, was forcibly taken by the suspects, who brandished handguns upon their meeting. The suspects hijacked the victim’s vehicle, transporting him to his McLean, Virginia, home to steal money and property before abandoning him in District Heights, Maryland.

Following indictments by the US District Court, Timothy Williams and Jaevonn Archer, both 30 years old and from Maryland, were apprehended on Tuesday. They face charges of Armed Kidnapping. The D.C. Metro Police Department is leading the ongoing investigation with support from multiple local police departments and the FBI.
