Assault and Robbery at Roosevelt Avenue-Jackson Heights Subway Station

JACKSON HEIGHTS, NY – A 49-year-old man was assaulted and robbed on the southbound “E” train platform at the Roosevelt Avenue-Jackson Heights subway station on Sunday at, around 11:30 PM.

The victim, who was standing on the platform, was attacked by an unidentified male who punched him in the face and then stole his cell phone. Following the assault, the assailant fled the scene on foot. The victim sustained facial swelling and was transported by EMS to NYC Health + Hospitals / Elmhurst, where he was reported to be in stable condition.

The incident is under investigation, and authorities are seeking information about the unidentified assailant.
