Assault on Southbound A Train Near Jay Street-MetroTech

NEW YORK, NY – A 40-year-old man was assaulted aboard a southbound A train on Saturday afternoon. The incident occurred around 5:15 PM as the train approached the Jay Street-MetroTech subway station.

An unknown individual, who had been sitting next to the victim, suddenly stood up and punched him in the face before fleeing the station on foot.

The victim, who suffered minor injuries, refused medical attention at the scene. The assailant, described as a male around 5’10” tall with a dark complexion and medium build, was last seen wearing a black durag, black jacket, and black sweatpants.
