Assault Reported in Kirby Park, Wilkes-Barre

Wilkes-Barre, PA — A distressing assault occurred at Kirby Park on Saturday evening, resulting in charges against 30-year-old Marcus Cobb of West Pittston, PA.

Wilkes-Barre City Police were summoned to the park at 5:21 PM following a report of an assault. Upon arrival, officers learned from the 62-year-old female victim, a resident of Pittston, PA, that she had been struck in the face with a volleyball by Cobb during a verbal altercation.

Following the incident, Cobb was charged with assault and harassment. The case is currently under investigation, and further details will be provided as they become available.
