Assault with Vehicle in Laurel Leaves Victim with Minor Injuries

LAUREL, MD – On Thursday, at approximately 5:10 a.m., officers responded to the 3200 block of Shadow Park Drive in Laurel for a reported assault. The adult male victim told officers he had an argument with a visitor at his residence. The argument moved outside when the visitor got into the driver’s seat of his vehicle, a silver sedan.

The victim walked across the front of the vehicle, and the driver accelerated, striking the victim with the vehicle. The driver backed up and pulled forward again, pinning the victim against a parked vehicle before fleeing the scene. The victim sustained minor, non-life-threatening injuries
