Long before Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo dominated the console market, Atari was the king of the home gaming entertainment system. This summer, Atari announced it was developing “Atari Box”, but provided nothing more than a few console concept designs and a video that showed the same.
Lately, Atari has been making ends meet by creating video games for PC’s and mobile devices. Nobody knows exactly what Atari Box is. Will it be an all-in-one emulator that plays classic Atari 2600 games or will it be a console unit to compete against the big three?
