Atlantic City Pier Fire Damages Multiple Businesses

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ — A large fire occurred Thursday night at Atlantic City’s Central Pier, causing extensive damage to several boardwalk businesses. The blaze reportedly started shortly after 7 p.m. in the rear of the pier near Tennessee Avenue and quickly spread to adjacent establishments.

Atlantic City Fire Chief Scott Evans reported to 6abc News that the fire affected various businesses, including an arcade, a speedway, a convenience store, and a pizzeria. These establishments were closed when the fire started.

As CBS News reported, over 50 firefighters were mobilized to tackle the fire, working for several hours to bring the situation under control. Fortunately, no injuries were reported in the incident.
