Attempted Carjacking Leads to Shooting In Baltimore

BALTIMORE, MARYLAND – A man was shot early yesterday morning during an attempted armed robbery in Southeast Baltimore.

At about 3 am, officers from the Baltimore Police Department were on patrol at the 500 Block of McElderry Street when they found a gunshot victim at the corner of Lakewood Avenue and McElderry Street.

The victim was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment,. His condition is unknown at this time.

An initial investigation indicated that the victim was shot in an attempted carjacking that occurred in the 400 block of North Montford Avenue.
