Attempted luring of 10-year-old girl pushing toddler in stroller reported in Toms River

TOMS RIVER, NJ – Toms River Police are investigating the luring of a 10-year-old girl on Saturday afternoon during the Orthodox Jewish observance of Shabbos. According to reports, the child was pushing a toddler in a stroller in front of their home when a vehicle stopped in their vicinity. The driver of the vehicle, wearing a mask, allegedly asked the young girl if she wanted candy. The suspect is believed to be a white male driving a red car. After the incident, the girl ran away from the alleged luring. This incident was reported by the Lakewood Scoop. At the time, according to the report, the 10-year-old was alone with the toddler and reported the incident to her mother after fleeing.
