WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Metropolitan Police Department announced multiple arrests related to unauthorized vehicle use and auto theft offenses in the District over a five-day period, with suspects ranging in age from 18 to 44.

Arrests made across multiple locations
On April 4, officers arrested 39-year-old Matthew Fincham of Fredericksburg, VA, for Theft One (Stolen Auto) in the 3800 block of 2nd Street SE. The same day, 34-year-old Patrick Davis of Landover, MD, and 44-year-old Torlonda Thomas of Northeast D.C. were arrested for Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle in the 4000 block of Grant Street NE.
On April 6, 41-year-old Victoria Roberts of Southeast D.C. was taken into custody for Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle in the 400 block of Atlantic Street SE.
Crackdown continues across the District
The arrests continued on April 7, with charges filed against 31-year-old Roscoe Jones of Southeast D.C., 28-year-old Carlos Merlos with no fixed address, and 18-year-old Kayden Fox of Cheverly, MD, all for Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle at locations in the 1400 block of 1st Street SW, 5000 block of Lee Street NE, and 800 block of Connecticut Avenue NW, respectively.
On April 8, police arrested 35-year-old Paul Brown of Southeast D.C. in the 4800 block of 1st Street SW, and 20-year-old Dartanian Owens of Northeast D.C. in the 3200 block of Highwood Drive SE, both on charges of Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle.
