Babysitter in Lancaster Sentenced to a Decade in Prison and Ordered to Pay Restitution

LANCASTER, PA – Kayla Tucker, 34, a resident of Lancaster City, was sentenced to a prison term of 4 ½ to 10 years and ordered to pay restitution amounting to $305,812.94 on Wednesday. Tucker was found guilty of three counts of felony aggravated assault and a felony count of endangering the welfare of children.

On Aug. 30, 2021, Lancaster City Bureau of Police officers responded to a distress call at Tucker’s residence on N. Plum Street. They found a three-month-old baby barely conscious and experiencing breathing difficulties. The child was immediately taken to a local hospital and airlifted to a secondary facility in critical condition due to the severity of his injuries.
