Baltimore City School Teacher Arrested for Sexual Assault of a Minor

Baltimore, MD — Detectives with the Baltimore County Police Department’s Crimes Against Children Unit arrested Lewis Laury, 24, on Monday, July 1, for allegedly sexually assaulting a minor.

Laury, a teacher with Baltimore City Public Schools, has been charged with second-degree rape and third-degree sexual offense. The investigation was initiated after detectives received information about an inappropriate relationship between Laury and a minor.

Laury is currently held without bail at the Baltimore County Detention Center. The investigation is ongoing, and further details have not been released at this time.
