Baltimore County mother charged with murder of 11-year-old daughter

BALTIMORE, Md. — A 34-year-old woman has been charged with first-degree murder in the death of her 11-year-old daughter, according to the Baltimore County Police Department.

Officers responded to a residence in the 2100 block of Firethorn Road on Thursday, January 23, at approximately 12 p.m., where they discovered the child deceased inside the family’s home. Police said three other children were also in the home but were unharmed.

The mother, identified as Keyona Dillon, was taken into custody and has been charged with first-degree murder. She is being held without bond at the Baltimore County Detention Center.

Authorities have not yet released additional details regarding the circumstances of the child’s death, and the investigation remains ongoing.
