Baltimore Man Arrested for Murder of Toby Rogers, 31

BALTIMORE, MD – In a recent development, the Baltimore Police Department has apprehended 22-year-old Jerrod Smith in relation to a homicide in the Southwest District on December 30, 2023.

The incident involved the fatal shooting of 31-year-old Toby Rogers during an altercation in a residence on the 4300 block of Seminole Avenue.

Detectives conducted a thorough investigation following the incident and succeeded in arresting Smith on January 2.

He was subsequently transported to the Central Booking Intake Facility. Smith faces charges of second-degree murder.

In a statement, the Baltimore Police Department confirmed that Smith’s bail has been set at $100,000. They continue to investigate the case and request any individuals with additional information to come forward.
