Baltimore Man Charged in Fatal June Shooting

BALTIMORE, MD — A man has been arrested in connection with a June homicide in Baltimore’s Southern District. Gregory Barnes, 48, was taken into custody on Thursday and charged with first-degree murder in the shooting death of 39-year-old Dennis Edmonds.

Police discovered Edmonds’ body on West Bay Avenue on the morning of June 14. The Medical Examiner’s Office later determined that Edmonds died from a gunshot wound.

Barnes is currently being held at the Central Booking Intake Facility.
