BALTIMORE, MD – A longtime fan of the Deluxe Crossword scratch-off game, known by the nickname “Baby Macy,” clinched the last $50,000 top prize available in the game’s 7th edition.

Baby Macy revealed eight winning words on her $5 ticket, resulting in disbelief at first. After multiple reviews of the ticket and a verification scan at a local 7-Eleven, her win was confirmed. The 74-year-old retiree plans to use the money for a vacation and gifts for her adult children.

The 7-Eleven #39243 at 3436 Wilkens Avenue, where the ticket was purchased, will receive a $500 bonus from the Maryland Lottery for selling the top-prize winning scratch-off. Baby Macy, a player since the Maryland Lottery’s inception, says she will continue playing.
