Baltimore Police Arrest Armed Suspect in Central District

BALTIMORE, MD – Early Thursday morning, Baltimore police apprehended a suspect for a handgun violation in the Central District.

At around 3:18 a.m., officers on foot patrol in the Unit of Light Street were alerted by Citywatch camera operators to a potential armed individual. Officers were provided with a description of the suspect.

The suspect, an unidentified male, was located in the West Lombard Street unit block. After investigation, officers arrested a 23-year-old male and recovered a Taurus 9 mm handgun, which was found to be stolen from Atlanta, GA. The suspect was taken to the Central Booking Intake Facility and charged accordingly.
