Baltimore Police Arrest Murder Suspect in Death of Eugene Fitzgerald, 28

Baltimore, MD – Baltimore Police Department’s Western District homicide investigators have made an arrest in connection with a murder that occurred on March 26. Tony Dukes, 34, of Baltimore, has been charged with first-degree murder in the death of 28-year-old Eugene Fitzgerald.

The incident took place in the 1800 block of Pennsylvania Avenue, where Dukes reportedly fatally shot Fitzgerald. Dukes was apprehended by Warrant Apprehension detectives on Monday at 7:30 AM in the 4300 block of Liberty Heights Avenue. Following his arrest, he was taken to the Central Booking Intake Facility.
