Baltimore Police Arrest Suspect in Valentine’s Day Armed Carjacking

Baltimore, MD – The Baltimore Police Department successfully apprehended a suspect following an armed carjacking in the Northern District.

On February 14, at around 4:40 p.m., officers rushed to the 2300 block of Bay Leaf Court after receiving reports of an armed carjacking underway. They spotted a vehicle that matched the description of the stolen car trying to escape the scene. With the support of Foxtrot members and additional police units, law enforcement was able to intercept the suspect, who abandoned the vehicle in the 5100 block of Chalgrove Avenue.

The individual, identified as 35-year-old Anthony McMichael from Baltimore, was taken into custody and transported to the Central Booking Intake Facility. McMichael faces charges of armed carjacking among other related offenses, marking a significant arrest in the city’s efforts to combat violent crime.
