Baltimore Police Make Arrests in Eastern District Shooting

BALTIMORE, MD—The Baltimore Police Department has announced the arrest of two suspects in connection with an attempted murder case in the Eastern District.

On August 7, 23-year-old Ryan Joy and 21-year-old Christopher Correlli, both residents of Baltimore, were apprehended for their alleged roles in a shooting incident.

The incident, which occurred early on July 5 in the 1800 block of Aiken Street, resulted in a 52-year-old male sustaining gunshot wounds. Following a detailed investigation, detectives linked Correlli and Joy to the attack. Both suspects have been charged with attempted first-degree murder and are currently held at the Central Booking Intake Facility.

This arrest follows a response by Eastern District patrol officers to the shooting report around 2:04 AM on the day of the incident, where they found the victim critically injured.
